Radar

SimGWX is a PC-based weather radar simulation of the Garmin GWX-68 airborne weather radar. SimGWX uses a sophisticated radar model providing a highly realistic simulation of weather and real world terrain. Features include :
• Interfaces directly to Garmin displays such as the G1000, G900X, G600 or GTN-7XX via the HSDB (ethernet) connection.
• IOS insertion and control for up to 10 storm cells or tap off of visual interface with no software modification.
• Storm cell shadow masking with WATCH (Weather Attenuated Color Highlight) indication.
• Easily customizable storm cells for correlation with visual system.
• Stability and stability limitations modeled
• Horizontal sector scan modeled
• Storm incursion return to host for aerodynamic and sound effects.
• Vertical (profile) scanning function for analyzing storm tops
• Automatic Target Alert feature looks ahead for intense cell activity
• Uses inexpensive, COTS hardware which is compact, light weight and easy to mount.
• Turn key options available
